the UX on this slideshow thing is turrible, how even does comment? you’d probably have to make a whole separate post on oppo to mock things.

To comment you have to go to the last slide, which is terrible. Also there’s a good chance that you comment will be buried in a mess of people complaining about how bad the slideshow is.

Y’know, I never noticed until the front/ rear symmetry on that Lexus until Andrew posted that article . Now I’m utterly fascinated by it, and super frustrated that his post won’t finish loading.

slideshows and that they worked just fine (except for the obnoxious
ads that force you to wait before seeing the next slide)

Now, t here used to be a manual slider thing for comparing two images... Maybe that’s what they’re talking about ? Man, I haven’t seen that feature in a LONG time. Is that what they’ re trying to do ?

What is this “l ast slide” you speak of ? I can’t see any slides. The last visible paragraph of Andrew’s post for me is the one that begins with “2004 was the last year of the GS’s most beautiful body... ”, and then there’s an ad, and that’s it. That’s the bottom of the page, no matter how many times I refresh . No more paragraphs or pics, no author signature, no related stories module, and no comment section.
But at least it b roke Infinite Scroll. So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.

If you aren’t seeing that, I’d guess something is extra buggy for you...

Yeah, I got nothing. Clicking the comment icon (#replies ) doesn’t skip right to the comment section like it usually does, either.
Say, can you share a permalink to one of the comments? I wonder if I can access the comment section that way.

Well that’s interesting!
Pardon my browser’s “night mode” extension. (BTW, I already tried disabling it, as well as my other extensions. Apparently they are not to blame for the issue.)
Yeah, the “/slides/12” link takes me to a version of the page where there is no article at all. Andrew’s signature box is the first thing, right at the top of the page. Then the related stories, then the comment section (then the taboola garbage). I still don’t see any slides or paragraphs from
t
he article itself
, but at least I can access the comments now. Thanks!
